In the last two days in Salt Lake City we had the 177th Annual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

There is too much that could be written about that Conference, but I want to mention here just a few things I have noticed.

For example, there was no specific talk given about missionary work but several speakers, including the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckey and Elder Tom Perry, gave straightforward testimonies of the truth of the message of the Church. Perhaps we are reaching the point in which nothing less than a direct testimony can save the world. I would say – just my opinion- that the time of many words is expiring and people need to choose, as Josue’ said a long time ago, who they want to serve.

I also noticed the talk by President James E. Faust in which he described the great forgiving attitude of the Amish. I am sure that those Amish are not among those groups who spend their time writing trash about the Mormon Church. They have better things to do, and I am sure that they are getting closer to the Lord because of that.

Elder Ballard said that he can’t understand how people insist in saying that the members of the Church of Jesus Christ are not Christians, only because we don’t believe in what the Nicean Creed says about God and other topics. There is a lot of arrogance in saying that someone else is not Christian.

Anyway, they were two days of great spiritual feast and I hope that we will feel a greater desire of giving our testimonies to the world in any way possible, including on the Internet.
