After the death of our dear Prophet, President Gordon B. Hinckley, many people wonder what will happen next. What happens when a Mormon Prophet dies? Who’s in charge? Who will be the next prophet?

When a Mormon prophet dies, the priesthood keys and authority held by the First Presidency—the highest presiding council of the Church—rest within the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, the second highest presiding council of the Church. The remaining counselors in the First Presidency resume their positions, in seniority, within the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, which becomes the governing body of the Church until the new First Presidency is called and sustained.

After funeral services are held in honor of President Gordon B. Hinckley, the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will meet in a sacred meeting, in the Salt Lake Temple to reorganize the First Presidency, in the manner prescribed by the Lord.

So, who will becomes the next Prophet?

In the sacred meeting of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles the new President of the Church is called and unanimously sustained. This process takes place prayerfully, through divine revelation. The newly chosen Prophet is selected from the members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. To this point in the history of the restored Church of Jesus Christ, the prophetic call has been issued to the senior member of the Twelve, though this may be excepted through divine revelation.

If tradition holds, and it is highly probable, President Thomas S. Monson will be the next President of the Church. Once the Prophet is called and set apart as the President of the Church, he similarly calls his two counselors, who are ordained and set apart to their respective callings.

Who is Thomas S. Monson?

Thomas S. Monson, First Counselor to Gordon B. Hinckley since 1995, is the senior member and presiding officer of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. He also served as Second Counselor in the First Presidency during the presidencies of Spencer W. Kimball and Ezra Taft Benson.

President Gordon B. Hinckley, who led The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) through twelve years of global expansion, has died at the age of 97.

President Hinckley was the 15th president in the history of the Mormon Church and had served as its president since 12 March 1995.

The Church president died at his apartment in downtown Salt Lake City at 7:00 p.m. Sunday night from causes related to age. Members of his family were at his bedside.

His presidency will be remembered for many outstanding accomplishments, including his commitment to a massive temple-building program, the creation of the Perpetual Education Fund, the construction of a new Conference Center in Salt Lake City, and the issuance of the Proclamation to the World about the importance of families.

I will personally miss his quick wit and humor and his willingness to be interviewed by journalists that greatly helped the Church coming out of obscurity.

Recently Elder M. Russell Ballard spoke at BYU-Hawaii’s graduation ceremony on December 15, 2007 about the importance of using the Internet. That talk was so important for what we do at the More Good Foundation that after writing a blog about it, I decided that I wanted it translated in several languages.

Interestingly, a few weeks after that, I started teaching a Marriage Preparation class at BYU and I decided to modify the syllabus by changing one assignment. Instead than a traditional paper, I asked the students to create their own personal blog at blogger.com or at our new social networking website LDS.net and write 8-10 posts over the semester.

Initially I was a little concerned to ask students to do this assignment, since it is probably the first in the history of BYU, but because of Elder Ballard’s talk I felt that I could do it.

Most of the students have already blogged a couple of times and some of those entries are very interesting.

To write a journal, or in this case a blog, is useful for the students because they have a chance to think about what they read or what we discussed in class. However, I am discovering that it is also useful for the teacher, because those blog entries can give valuable feedback. Obviously, since it is a public expression of their thinking, the students will not be completely open if there is something they do not like in the class, but still, from their comments and reflections I am able to understand better what they are really learning, and what topics and discussions are most interesting for them. Moreover, I can get to know them a lot better through those blogs than by giving them multiple questions tests (and for some of them even by what they say in class).

We are just in the beginning and I hope that they will get better and better at writing blogs. I also hope that at least some of them will continue blogging about the Church and families during their lives to help others to know the wonderful principles that we learn in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church).

在2007年的12月15號耶穌基督後期聖徒教會(摩爾門教)十二使徒定額組的羅素．培勒長老在夏威夷楊百翰大學給畢業生典禮演說中說到有關使用新的傳播媒介來支持教會事工的運作。

我很感謝羅素．培勒長老給予這項美好的演說。我是為更良好的基楚這個網站工作，我們所負責的工作是關心及忠誠的為教會在網路上傳播更多美好的資訊。我們想要確定— 使用羅素．培勒長老的話 “我們寧願解釋復興的訊息也不願其他人來解釋我們的信仰。”

羅素．培勒長老解釋到:

現在你們都知道耶穌基督後期聖徒教會的教友是被提醒並且被鼓勵要不斷的和他人分享福音。教會總是尋找更多有效的方法去宣揚我們的福音。

對於一些不幸消息的理由，直到最近在教會的教友中普遍盛行我們不應該在網路上談論到有關我們的信仰。這個問題的態度就是假如我們不清楚表明我們是誰，以及我們的信仰，其他人就會做這個部份；然而他們這樣做並沒有對我們教會有足夠信仰的知識或甚至夾雜著含有惡意的企圖內容。

培勒長老的演說是非常令人欣然接受的，是因為這解釋非常清楚有關為什麼教友需要參與網路上的一腳。他畫出一個有趣的平行線在虛構的模子及網路之間：

在世界上可能極少部份發明物比印刷模子的發明有很重大的影響力，這項創舉是在 1436年由約翰尼斯．古騰堡所發明的。印刷模子的發明使得知識且包含神聖的聖經所發行的地方比以前更廣闊。最後，一般民眾就有接近獲得經文真理知識的機會，並且神職人員已不再是民眾需要已抵押品來換取他們對經文的解釋。

他繼續說到：

今日我們擁有相同在古代所擁有印刷模子在現代則有網路及所有這一切工具的科技。網路使每個人都可成為出版商，他們的聲音也可被接收，然而這是一個在社會中的一個重大的突破性改革之一。在網路發達之前，有一項重大的障礙在印刷上。這需要花錢，花力氣，或是權勢，及在出版上要花大量時間。但是今日，因為一些稱之為傳播媒介的新科技已出現，許多以前印刷所發生的障礙都已免除。

這是非常令人驚訝的事。主已經從一種方式來向幾十憶人口宣揚福音，越過一般印刷所帶來的障礙進而創造出不需花太多錢且不費力氣的工具。 我們需要盡可能快速的善用這項機會的窗口，因為總是有可能會有新的障礙出現,，而導致透過網路來允許並做出在網路上加設有限制的自由。

在關鍵的時刻有幾項簡單機乎任何的教友可做的。例如，部落格：

有一位住在美國中西部的教友做了一個商定的一個努力成果每天和一個人分享福音。然後他會每天努力的在他的部落格上寫有關他分享摩爾門經的教導以及發給每一位他遇到的人有關教會的小卡片。

或是我們可以享我們的歸信過程和其他振奮人心的經驗：

其他的人也把所做的記錄且登錄他們對復興福音的見證，摩爾門經的教導以及其他福音的主題放在廣有流傳的錄影分享網站上。

我們(更良好的基楚)有架構一個網站專門邀請教友在摩爾門(耶穌基督後期聖徒教會)見證這網站上分享他們的見證。我們想要邀請成千上萬的教友到線上來分享他們的故事。

我由衷的感激培勒長老在他的演說中解釋到我們在需求上所使用網路背後所應該做好或是甚至更好的涵義！

Le 15 décembre 2007, frère M.Russell Ballard, membre du Collège des Douze Apôtres de l’Eglise de Jésus Christ des Saints des Derniers Jours (ou Eglise Mormone) a offert un discours à la cérémonie des diplômes de l’ Université Brigham Young à Hawaii, au sujet de l’importance du rôle des Medias (New Media) pour soutenir l’œuvre de l’Eglise.

Je suis vraiment très content que frère Ballard ait fait un tel discours. Je travaille pour la « More Good Foundation » (fondation pour le mieux être) et ce discours nous concerne personnellement et nous engage à diffuser d’importantes informations sur Internet.

Nous voudrions vous assurer – faisant usage des mots de frère Ballard – que nous « annonçons » le message du Rétablissement de l’Evangile (ou Restauration) plutôt que de laisser les autres définir nos croyances. »

Frère M.Russell Ballard a dit :

Maintenant, vous savez tous que les membres de l’Eglise de Jésus Christ des Saints des Derniers Jours sont continuellement invités et encouragés à partager l’Evangile avec autrui. L’Eglise cherche toujours le moyen le plus efficace pour déclarer notre message.

Pour quelques mauvaises raisons, et jusqu’à il y a peu de temps, les membres de l’Eglise avaient la prédominante sensation que nous n’utilisions pas Internet pour répandre nos croyances religieuses. Le problème, avec ce genre d’attitude, c’est que si nous ne définissons pas qui nous sommes, et ce en quoi nous croyons, alors d’autres individus le feront à notre place ; et ils le feront sans avoir assez de connaissance ou avec de mauvaises intentions.

Le discours de frère M.Russell Ballard est vraiment très apprécié car il élucide l’importance d’impliquer les membres sur Internet. Il fait une intéressante comparaison entre l’invention de la presse et Internet :

Il y a peut-être dans le monde, des inventions qui ont eu un impact plus fort que la presse, qui a été inventée par Johannes Gutenberg en 1436; la presse a permis de répandre plus amplement et bien plus qu’auparavant, la connaissance, y compris la connaissance de la Sainte Bible. En définitive, les individus ont accès aux vérités des Ecritures, et le clergé n’a donc plus tenu la population en otage de leurs interprétations.

Il ajoute aussi :

Aujourd’hui, nous avons un équivalent moderne de la presse avec Internet et tout ce qu’il offre au public. Internet permet à tous d’être éditeur, de faire entendre sa voix, et il révolutionne la société. Avant Internet, il existait de grandes barrières dans la presse : l’argent, le pouvoir, l’influence et le temps nécessaire pour la publication. Mais aujourd’hui, grâce à l’apparition de ce qu’on appelle les Nouveaux Medias (new media), rendue possible grâce à Internet, beaucoup de ces barrières ont été détruites.

C’est vraiment incroyable. Le Seigneur a trouvé le moyen de diffuser l’Evangile à des milliers d’individus, en évitant les barrières habituelles, élevées par le manque d’argent ou de pouvoir. Nous devons cueillir cette opportunité au plus vite car de nouvelles barrières pourraient être élevées à nouveau, et limiter la liberté qu’Internet nous offre.

En attendant, il y a beaucoup de choses très simples que les membres peuvent faire. Par exemple, créer un « blog » :

Un membre de l’Eglise qui vit dans le Midwest partage l’Evangile quotidiennement et personnellement. Il écrit un « blog » sur ses efforts quotidiens de partager les enseignements du Livre de Mormon et de les faire connaître à tous ceux qu’il rencontre.

Ou encore, nous pouvons partager l’histoire de notre conversion ainsi que d’autres expériences édifiantes :

Certains ont écrit et ont mis sur des sites « vidéo-sharing », leurs témoignages sur le Rétablissement de l’Evangile (ou Restauration), sur les enseignements du Livre de Mormon, et sur d’autres sujets évangéliques aussi.

Nous, (la More Good Foundation), nous avons créé un site- web :

(http://www.mormontestimonies.org/) où nous invitons les individus à partager leurs récits. Nous aimerions avoir l’adhésion de milliers de membres de l’Eglise.

Using New Media to Support the Work of the Church

2007年12月15日、末日聖徒イエス･キリスト教会十二使徒定員会（Quorum of the Twelve Apostles）のM. ラッセル・バラード長老（M. Russell Ballard）は、ブリガム・ヤング大学ハワイ校の卒業式において、教会の御業を助けるためにニューメディアの活用を強調するという内容のお話をされました。

バラード長老がこのような課題に触れたお話をなさったことを大変うれしく思います。モアグッド財団（More Good Foundation）は、オンラインを通じて教会について良い情報を広める事に関心を持ち、その仕事に献身しています。バラード長老の言葉を借りれば、「他の人たちが私達の信条を定義づけするより、私達が回復のメッセージを明らかにする」ことを計らいたいと思います。

バラード長老は以下のように説明されました。:

:「さて、あなたたち末日聖徒イエス・キリスト教会の会員の皆さんは、福音を他の人々に頻繁に分かち合うことに注意を払いうよう勧告されています。教会は常にわたしたちのメッセージを宣言する最も効果的な方法を求めています。」

遺憾ながらいくつかの理由のために、つい最近まで教会員が自分の信条についてインターネットで語ることはしてはいけない事になっていました。こうした姿勢における問題は、もしわたしたちが誰であり、何を信じているか明確にしないなら、わたしたちの代わりに誰かが、十分な知識を持たずに、あるいは悪意を以ってそれをするということです。

バラード長老のお話は、なぜ教会員がオンラインに参加する必要があるかを明瞭に説明していますから、これはたいへん歓迎するべきことです。バラード長老は印刷機とインターネットの発明の間にある興味ある類似に私達の注目を引いておられます。:

:「1436年に霊感を受けたヨナネス・グーテンベルグによって発明された印刷機よりも、世界に遥かに大きな影響を与えた発明はほとんど無かったでしょう。印刷機は聖書を含み知識を以前にも増して一層広く共有することを可能にしました。最終的には社会一般人が聖典の真理を入手することができるようになり、もはや聖職者たちが大衆をとりこにして聖典の解釈において独占するようなことはありません。」

バラード長老は続けてこのように言われました。:

:「今日わたしたちは、現代において印刷機と同等な意義を持つインターネットとそれに関連したあらゆる方法を有しています。インターネットを使って誰でもが発行者になり、その人の意見を聞いてもらうことができるようになり、社会に大変革を巻き起こしています。インターネット以前、印刷には大きな障害がありました。つまり出版するにはお金と力また影響力と膨大な時間がかかりました。しかし今日、ニューメディアと呼ばれる技術の出現のおかげで、インターネットはこれらの障害を取り除くことができるようになりました。」

これは実に驚くべきことです。主はお金や権力の欠乏が作り出す通常の障害を回避して何十億という膨大な数の人々に福音を広める方法を認められました。わたしたちは、この好機の窓をできるだけ迅速に使う必要があります。というのは、インターネットに許されている自由を制限する新しい障害が出現する恐れがいつでもあるからです。

その間に、教会員ならほとんど誰でもできるいくつかの簡単なことがあります。例えば、インタ-ネットでブログすることです。:

:米国中西部に住んでいるある教会員は、毎日福音を分かち合うために申し合わせた努力を自らしています。次にモルモン書の教えを分かち合うために日々の努力をブログにして書き、遭遇するすべての人々には配布カードを配っています。

あるいは改宗談やその他の霊的に高揚させる経験を分かち合うこともできます。:

:他の人々は、福音の回復、モルモン書の教え、その他の福音の題材についての証を今評判になっている分かち合いのウェブサイトにビデオに録画して掲載している人もいます

モアグット財団は、末日聖徒の証（MormonTestimonies）で、皆さんの経験談を分かち合ってくださるようにお招きするウェブサイトを作りました。何千人という教会員の皆様の証をオンラインに掲載したいと思います。

善いこと、さらに善いこと（モアグッド）をするために、インターネットを活用する必要性の裏にある原則を説明されたバラード長老のお話に心から感謝します。

Il 15 dicembre di quest’anno l’anziano M. Russell Ballard del Quorum dei dodici Apostoli della chiesa di Gesù Cristo dei Santi degli Ultimi Giorni (chiesa mormone ) fece un discorso alla cerimonia di graduazione della Brigham Young University-Hawaii sull’uso dei nuovi mezzi di diffusione per sostenere il lavoro della chiesa.

Sono molto contento che l’anziano  Ballard abbia fatto un tale discorso. Io lavoro per la More Good Foundation, e noi siamo interessati e occupati a diffondere buone informazioni sulla chiesa on line. Vogliamo assicurarci – usandole parole dell’anziano Ballard – che “definiamo il messaggio della Restaurazione piuttosto che lasciare che gli altri definiscano le nostre credenze”.

L’anziano Ballard spiega:

Ora tutti voi sapete che i membri della chiesa di Gesù Cristo dei Santi degli Ultimi Giorni sono esortati e incoraggiati continuamente a condividere il vangelo con gli altri. La chiesa cerca sempre i modi più efficaci di dichiarare il nostro messaggio.

Per qualche sfortunato motivo, fino a poco tempo fa c’era, fra i membri della chiesa,  l’idea che non dovevano usare Internet per parlare delle loro credenze. Il problema con questo atteggiamento è che se non definiamo chi siamo e in cosa crediamo, lo faranno altri;  e lo faranno senza abbastanza conoscenza o persino con scopo maligno.

Il discorso dell’anziano Ballard è stato bene accolto, perché spiega chiaramente perché i membri devono interessarsi a scrivere online. Egli traccia un parallelo interessante fra l’ invenzione della stampa e  Internet:

Forse ci sono poche invenzioni che hanno avuto un impatto  maggiore nel mondo della macchina da stampa, inventata nel 1436 dall’ ispirato Johannes Gutenberg. La macchina da stampa rese possibile alla conoscenza, inclusa quella della sacra Bibbia, di essere condivisa, in modo più ampio che mai prima.. Alla fine, la gente comune aveva l’ accesso alle verità delle scritture e il clero non potè più tenere il popolino sottomesso alle loro interpretazioni.

Egli continua:

Oggi,con Internet e tutto ciò che significa, abbiamo un equivalente moderno della macchina da stampa and. Internet permette a ognuno di essere un editore, di far udire la sua voce, e sta rivoluzionando la società. Prima di Internet, c’erano grandi barriere alla stampa. Ci voleva denaro, potere, o influenza e un grande ammontare di tempo per pubblicare. Ma oggi, con l’emergere di qualcosa che alcuni chiamano i nuovi mezzi di diffusione, resi possibili da Internet, molte di quelle barriere sono state rimosse.

E’ veramente stupefacente. Il Signore ha trovato un modo di diffondere il vangelo a bilioni di persone, oltrepassando i soliti ostacoli creati dalla mancanza di denaro o potere. Abbiamo bisogno di usare questo spiraglio di opportunità più presto che possiamo perché c’è sempre la possibilità che emergano nuovi ostacoli, limitando la libertà permessa da Internet.

Allo stesso tempo ci sono alcune cose semplici che può fare quasi ogni membro. Per esempio un blog :

Un membro della chiesa che abita nel Midwest fa uno sforzo cosciente di condividere il vangelo di persona, ogni giorno. Poi scrive un blog sui suoi sforzi quotidiani di condividere gli insegnamenti del Libro di Mormon e di dare degli opuscoli a tutti quelli che incontra.

Possiamo condividere le nostre storie di conversione e altre esperienze edificanti:

Altri hanno scritto e messo online le loro testimonianze della Restaurazione, gli insegnamenti del Libro di Mormon e altri soggetti evangelici su siti che convivono dei video.

Noi (la More Good Foundation) abbiamo creato un sito web dove invitiamo le persone a condividere le loro storie a MormonTestimonies. Ci piacerebbe avere migliaia di membri che condividessero le loro storie online.

Sono veramente grato all’anziano Ballard per il suo discorso che spiega i principi che rendono  Internet indispensabile per fare il bene e persino ….il meglio!

El 15 de diciembre de este año, Élder M. Russell Ballard del Quórum de los Doce Apóstoles de La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días (Iglesia Mormona) dio un discurso en la ceremonia de graduación de la Universidad de Brigham Young-Hawaii acerca del uso de Nuevos Medios para apoyar el trabajo de la Iglesia.

Me alegra que el Élder Ballard haya dado este discurso. Yo trabajo para More Good Foundation, y nuestra preocupación y compromiso es el de divulgar buena información acerca de la Iglesia por medio del Internet. Queremos asegurarnos que -usando las palabras del Élder Ballard que nosotros -”definimos el mensaje de la Restauración en lugar de permitir que otros definan nuestras creencias”.

Élder Ballard explica,

Ahora todos ustedes saben que se les ha pedido y animado a los miembros de La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días que continuamente compartan el evangelio con otros. La Iglesia está siempre buscando la manera más efectiva de declarar nuestro mensaje.

Desafortunadamente por alguna razón, hasta hace algún tiempo había un sentimiento prevalente entre los miembros de la Iglesia de que no se suponía que usaramos el Internet para hablar acerca de nuestras creencias. El problema con esta actitud es de que si nosotros no definimos lo que nosotros somos y en qué creemos, otros lo harán; y ellos lo harán sin el conocimiento suficiente y aún con una intención maliciosa.

El discurso del Élder Ballard es bienvenido porque explica claramente el por qué los miembros necesitan estar involucrados en el Internet. El describe un interesante paralelo entre la invitación de la prensa y el Internet:

Existen quizá algunas invenciones que han tenido un impacto favorable en el mundo en cuando a los medios impresos, inventados por el inspirado Johannes Gutenberg en 1436. La prensa escrita proporcionó conocimiento, incluyendo la Santa Biblia, para ser compartida más abiertamente que nunca antes. Ultimadamente, la gente común tenía acceso a las verdades de las escrituras, y hasta entonces, el clero no pudo mantener al público privado de sus interpretaciones.

El continúa:

Hoy en día nosotros tenemos un equivalente moderno a la prensa escrita y esto es el Internet. El Internet permite que cada persona sea un editor, que sus voces sean oídas, en una sociedad revolucionada. Antes del Internet, existían muchas barreras a la imprenta. Era  necesario tener dinero, poder e influencia, así como una gran cantidad de tiempo para publicar. Pero hoy en día, debido a que ha emergido lo que llamamos Medios Nuevos, debido al Internet, muchas otras barreras han sido removidas.

Esto es realmente maravilloso. El Señor ha fundado una manera de compartir el evangelio a billones de personas, al pasar las barreras usuales creadas por la falta de dinero y poder. Nosotros necesitamos usar esta ventana de oportunidad tan rápido como sea posible porque existe siempre la posibilidad de que nuevas barreras emerjan, limitando la libertad que tenemos con el Internet.

Mientras tanto, existen algunas cosas simples que cualquier miembro puede hacer. Por ejemplo, un blog:

Elder M. Russell Ballard vom Kollegium der 12 Apostel der Kirche Jesu Christi der Heiligen der Letzten Tage hielt dieses Jahr am 15. Dezember eine Rede bei der Abschlussfeier in der Brigham Young Universität Hawaii über den Gebrauch der Neuen Medien, um im Werk Des Herrn zu dienen.

Ich bin wirklich froh, dass Elder Ballard solch eine Ansprache hielt. Ich arbeite für die More Good Foundation, und wir sind damit befasst und darin engagiert, gute Informationen über die Kirche online zu stellen. Wir möchten mit Elder Ballards Worten versichern, dass wir die Botschaft der Wiederherstellung erläutern, ehe andere unseren Glauben definieren.

Elder Ballard erklärt:

Nun wissen alle, dass die Mitglieder der Kirche Jesu Christi der Heiligen der Letzten Tage ermahnt und ermutigt sind, unablässig das Evangelium mit anderen zu teilen. Die Kirche sucht immer nach en besten Möglichkeiten, unsere Botschaft zu erklären

Aus unglücklichen Gründen gab es bist jetzt das vorherrschende Gefühl unter den Mitgliedern, dass sie das Internet nicht benutzen sollen, um über unseren Glauben zu reden. Doch das Problem dabei ist: Wenn wir nicht erklären, wer wir sind und was wir glauben, werden andere es tun. Und sie werden es tun ohne ausreichende Kenntnisse oder in böswilliger Absicht.

Elder Ballards Ansprache ist sehr willkommen, weil er deutlich erklärt, warum wir Mitglieder brauchen, die sich im Internet engagieren. Er zog eine interessante Parallele zwischen der Erfindung der Presse und des Internets.

Es gibt wahrscheinlich wenige Erfindungen, die einen größeren Einfluss auf die Welt hatten als die Druckerpresse, im Jahre 1436 erfunden durch den inspirierten Johann Gutenberg.. Die Druckerpresse war in der Lage, Wissen weithin mit allen zu teilen, mehr als je zuvor, einschließlich der Bibel. Schließlich hatten gewöhnliche Leute Zugang zu Wahrheiten der Schrift, und der Klerus hielt das Volk nicht länger mit seinen Interpretationen gefangen.

Er fuhr fort:

Heute haben wir ein modernes Äquivalent der Druckerpresse im Internet und alles was es bedeutet. Das Internet erlaubt jedem zu veröffentlichen, dass man jedermanns Stimme hört, und es revolutioniert die Gesellschaft. Vor dem Intenet gab es große Hindernisse beim Druck. Es kostete Geld, man brauchte Macht und Einfluss und eine Menge Zeit, um zu publizieren. Doch durch die Entstehung der sogenannten neuen Medien macht das Internet es heute möglich, dass die Barrieren überwunden wurden.

Es ist wirklich faszinierend. Der Herr hat einen Weg gefunden, das Evangelium unter Milliarden von Menschen zu verbreiten, indem die gewöhnlichen Barrieren überwunden werden, die durch Mangel an Geld oder Macht geschaffen wurden. Es ist notwendig, dass wir diese Möglichkeiten so schnell wie möglich nutzen, da es immer Möglichkeiten gibt, neue Barrieren zu schaffen, indem die Freiheit eingeschränkt wird, das Internet zu nutzen.

In der Zwischenzeit gibt es einige einfache Dinge, die jeder von uns tun kann: Zum Beispiel ein Blog:

Ein Kirchenmitglied, das im Mittleren Westen lebt, unternimmt ein gezieltes Bestreben, um persönlich das Evangelium jeden Tag mit anderen zu teilen. Dann schreibt er einen Blog über sein tägliches Engagement bei gemeinschaftlichen Projekten, die Lehren des Buches Mormon mit anderen zu teilen und vergibt Einladungen zu diesem Projekt an jeden, den er trifft.

Oder wir können unsere Bekehrungsgeschichte oder andere erbauliche Erfahrungen teilen:

Andere haben ihre Zeugnisse aufgeschrieben und ins Netz gestellt, ihre Zeugnisse über die Wiederherstellung, über die Lehren des Buches Mormon und andere geistliche Dinge auf Webseiten mit Video-sharing.

Wir (die More Good Foundation) haben eine Webseite eröffnet, wo wir die Menschen einladen, ihre Geschichten bei Mormontestimonies miteinander zu teilen. Wir hätten gerne Tausende von Menschen, die ihre Geschichten online miteinander teilen.

Ich bin Elder Ballard wirklich dankbar für seine Ansprache, die die Prinzipien erklärt über unseren Bedarf, das Internet zu nutzen, um Gutes zu tun, ja besseres.
